Carry-in limit (guide)

Carry-in limit (per person): no set number of days. Check before you buy.

The conditions that apply depend on the quantity, price, and documents, so please contact us before you buy.

This is for checking the quantity. It does not guarantee that you can bring it in.

What to have ready

  • Doctor's certificate: You can add a certificate (¥3,000) in English and your language, showing your name, the medicine, and the quantity, on the same screen as your medicine.
  • Original box: Keep the original box with the clinic's label.
  • Carry-on prep: Pack it in your carry-on bag, and declare it if you're unsure.

Entry rules

Under Vietnam's procedure for personal-use medicines, an import license is waived under certain conditions. Whether the specific Japanese tirzepatide product can be brought in has not been confirmed here.

Documents and customs

If an import license is needed

The procedure lists Form 27 and a prescription or treatment record that identifies the patient, medicine name, strength, quantity, dose, prescribing doctor, and clinic. Before you apply, check the requirements for document certification and language.

Check how customs handles it

Ask Vietnamese Customs and the relevant health authority how to declare your medicine and whether you need an import license. Keep the prescription and labeled packaging ready to show.

Check your injection pen

Check the classification of the product you will actually bring, whether an exemption applies, and which documents are accepted where you arrive. Also check the injection device, needles, and ice packs with your airline. Do not take a general exemption to mean permission to bring in that product.

Official sources

This is general information based on official sources, not legal advice. Rules change, so check with Vietnam customs before you travel.
